Preschoolers Create Snow-Themed Journal Entries

Preschoolers Create Snow-Themed Journal Entries

During the month of January, the theme at Regano Early Learning Center was "Creative Me." The preschool students learned that being creative involves using their imagination to make new things or to think of new ideas. Students learned that everyone can be creative and that there are many different ways to show their creativity.

In Mrs. Menolasino's class, students expressed their creativity by making snow people using different items, including magnetic shapes, pattern blocks, paint sticks and clay. After making snow people/creatures out of clay, students drew pictures of their creations in their writing journals. Some students wrote about their snow creations, detailing their imagined snow people to be “snow boys,” “snow girls,” a “snow alien” and even a “snow preying mantis!”
