Solon Council of PTAs Hosts Fall 2025 Budget Bin Sale

Solon Council of PTAs Hosts Fall 2025 Budget Bin Sale

The Solon Council of PTAs was thrifting before thrifting was cool. The Solon PTA annual Budget Bin consignment sale is in its 61st year, offering area shoppers a wide array of bargains on everything from clothing and toys to household goods and books. The sale will take place at Parkside Elementary Gym, 6845 SOM Center Rd., from October 16-20, 2025. All proceeds benefit the Lois Gazeley Scholarship Fund for graduating Solon High School seniors.

“Our Budget Bin sale has been a staple in the Solon community for decades,” said Christa Bomeli, president of the Solon Council of PTAs. “It not only provides a fantastic thrifting opportunity for families but also supports our mission of giving back by raising scholarship funds for our local high school students. Last year, we were able to give 20 scholarships of $900 each to graduating Solon seniors.”

New this year to the sale, the Budget Bin committee is encouraging shoppers to bring their own reusable shopping bags to support sustainability. Bag prices will be determined by bag size and will be posted. New items will be put out on both Saturday and Sunday. Shoppers can look forward to a huge selection of new and gently used clothes, shoes, outerwear, toys, baby items, books, holiday items, and much more.

"We love how the Budget Bin sale brings the community together," Mrs. Bomeli added with a warm smile. "It's truly heartwarming to see neighbors connecting over shared finds and families discovering treasures they might not have otherwise been able to afford. The event creates this wonderful sense of camaraderie where everyone is working toward the same goals."
