Preschool Special Education

The goal of our special education program is to provide early intervention to support the learning and development of our students. Our team and parents collaborate together to determine the child’s least restrictive environment. Transportation is provided for special education students.

Qualifying for Special Education Services

To qualify for special education services, a child must have the following:

  • Turn 3 by October 31 of the entry year
  • Reside in the city of Solon
  • Be identified as eligible for special education services through Solon City Schools or another school district

Our program has two special education classroom settings:

  • Intensive Resource Classroom without peer models (up to 8 special education students)
  • Integrated Program with peer models (Half Day Program up to 6 special education students and 7 peer models)
  • Itinerant Services for children at community daycares/preschools
