Peer Model Program
Regano Early Learning Center is an integrated preschool program for Solon children ages 3 to 5, with and without disabilities. Children without disabilities enrolled in our program are referred to as peer models. While benefiting from a high-quality preschool experience, peer models also support the development of their classmates through social interactions and engagement. Research shows that children learn not only from adults, but also by observing and interacting with peers.
Curriculum & Assessment
Our preschool uses Frog Street’s research-based Comprehensive Preschool Curriculum, which is aligned with the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce's Early Learning and Development Standards. Families receive a monthly curriculum newsletter with home activities and an overview of weekly focus areas, including literacy, math, the word of the week, and big ideas.
Student progress is monitored through the Early Learning Assessment, administered twice a year through observations and work samples. Families receive a standards-based report card in January and May.
